Hi there,
I found your site really interesting & informative. I have heard many stories
about the Harriseahead area from my mother.
She went to stay with her grandparents & went to Harriseahead Board School
at the age of 5 in 1925. I was very interested to find a Peter Stanyer on
your 1851 list..he might be my GGgrandfather but I have not found this reference
anywhere else ie Ancestry....I am trying to discover more.
Also I could not find Martin & Elizabeth Hulme on your 1881 list although
they were living with their daughter & son-in-law
[Peter Stanier & Elizabeth Hulme] in Alderhey Lane.
My grandmother Hannah Elizabeth Stanier 1887 had a post card collection all
dating1905-1907 [apparently it was the thing to do then] & I have a few pictures
of the area.....most of the cards are general stuff & a few are of Hednesford
where her cousins lived & they obviously sent them to each other.
